Visits to Local Schools

I will be visiting St Leonard’s School, Durham on Wednesday 8th May and St Bede’s School, Lanchester on Tuesday 14th May, to talk to Year 13 students who are about to leave school. The idea is to let the young people know what to expect when they start university, to tell them about the Catholic Chaplaincy and to encourage them to find the chaplaincy when they arrive at university. It always helps if current students can share their own experiences and talk about how the Catholic Chaplaincy has helped them. If you’re interested in coming on one of these visits (it means an early start to get to the school for morning assembly) please contact me on andrew.j.downie@durham.ac.uk – Fr Andrew
