Holy Island Retreat

After exams, take the chance to spend a weekend on the beautiful and historic Holy Island of Lindisfarne. The retreat is an opportunity for spend time together at the end of the university year, to pray, relax and reflect. It’s a Catholic Chaplaincy event, but everyone is welcome. We stay at the St Vincent de Paul children’s camp on the island, which provides basic dormitory accommodation, fully catered, with food cooked by volunteers.

This year’s theme is ‘Called to be Saints’ and our speaker will be Sister Blandine Lagrut of the Chemin Neuf community in France.

When: Friday 9th-Sunday 11th June

Cost: £70 – but if this is a problem for you, please contact Fr Andrew in confidence – we don’t want anyone to miss out on the weekend because of the cost.

To book a place: Contact Fr Andrew on andrew.j.downie@durham.ac.uk Don’t forget to mention any dietary requirements or other special needs.
