The new High Sheriff of County Durham, Anne Elliott, will be sworn in at Durham Crown Court this Friday, 31st March. The High Sheriff is appointed by the King and was traditionally responsible for the maintenance of law and order within the county. I am honoured to have been asked by Anne to serve as her Chaplain for the coming year. Please pray for Anne as she assumes her role.
