Holy Island Retreat
|After exams are over, take the opportunity to spend a weekend on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.
Lindisfarne is a place of great natural beauty and was the cradle of Christianity in the North of England. The weekend is an opportunity for students from all Christian traditions (and anyone else who is interested) to spend time together at the end of the university year, to share prayer and worship, to learn from one another and to experience this unique and beautiful place.
We stay at the St Vincent de Paul children’s camp on the island, which provides basic, dormitory accommodation, fully catered, with food cooked by volunteers. It’s always a great weekend, and because of Covid, this is the first time we have been able to go since 2019.
When: Friday 10th-Sunday 12th June.
Cost: £70 – but if this is a problem for you, please contact Fr Andrew in confidence – we don’t want anyone to miss out on the weekend because of the cost.
To book a place: Contact Fr Andrew Downie on andrew.j.downie@durham.ac.uk Don’t forget to mention any dietary requirements or other special needs.
