DYM Retreat (4-6 March) – Jesus the Jubilee

Merciful like the Father (Year of Mercy)“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me….
to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:18-19)

This term’s Chaplaincy retreat is a joint event under the auspices of the Dominican Youth Movement (DYM) for students at Dominican University Chaplaincies in Scotland and the North of England and other young adults, led by a team of Dominican Friars and Sisters. We have a time to reflect on God’s mercy and the salvation offered to us in Jesus Christ in the beautiful surroundings of the Whitchester Christian Guesthouse just outside Hawick. In the Jubilee Year of Mercy and also the Jubilee for 800 years from the foundation of the Dominican Order our topic for the weekend will be Jesus the Jubilee.

The programme will include talks, discussion, prayer, time for reflection and walks.

We depart on Friday 4 March (leaving c. 6pm) and return on Sunday 6 March (in time for the evening Mass). The cost is £40 including all meals and transport – but please speak to fr. Ben if the cost would be a problem. Maximum of 16 places – please sign up on the list at the back of church by Sunday 28 February at the lastest.
