Scholarship opportunity at Blackfriars, Oxford

Would you like to deepen your theological understanding after completing your Durham degree?

Blackfriars Hall, the Dominican Friars’ Permanent Private Hall in the University of Oxford, proposes to award a scholarship to a total value of £18,000 over two or three years to a candidate reading for a second undergraduate degree in Theology (or a joint school involving Theology).

The successful candidate will, at time of entry, hold a good undergraduate degree in another subject and be able to show how his or her study will benefit the Church and wider society, in the spirit of the Dominican Order. It is possible to apply for “senior status”, exempting the student from first year examinations and allowing the completion of the remainder of the BA degree course in two years.
