If you’re a Catholic (or simply interested in the Catholic Church) and beginning studies at Durham University in the autumn of 2019, congratulations – this page is for you! Please help us keep you informed about what’s going on at the Chaplaincy: click here to register your details with us.

We have various events going on at the start of term to introduce you to the Catholic Chaplaincy and to other Catholic students:

Masses at St Cuthbert’s
10:00am Sung Parish Mass
6:30pm Quiet Mass

Choir Rehearsal – if you would like to sing, do come along to the first Choir Rehearsal of the term.  See the Choir Page for more details.

STUDENT MASS – this is the centre of our life at a Catholic community in Durham University, and we encourage everyone to come along. In case you haven’t already found us, your college rep will lead a group from your college lodge/reception before Mass – please sign up to make sure we can let you know exactly where and when the group will leave.

Mass will be followed by Drinks and a Buffet Dinner for all students – more opportunity to meet people.

Most of these events take place at the Chaplaincy – see our “find us” page for details of how to find us.

You’ll find a warm welcome at the Catholic Chaplaincy, and we hope that you’ll feel very much at home here. Do explore this website to see what facilities we have available and the activities on offer each week.
