Visit of Bishop Séamus… and others!

On Sunday 25 January we will be welcoming the Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev. Séamus Cunningham, as celebrant and preacher at our Masses. Bishop Séamus’ visit is part of the programme of pastoral visits which each bishop makes to the parishes (and chaplaincies!) of his diocese each five years. Please keep the Bishop and all the Church in this Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle in your prayers especially at this time.

Bishop Séamus is the first of a number of visiting preachers this term: on 1 February we will welcome Fr Richard Duffield Cong.Orat., of the new Oratorian Foundation at St Wilfrid’s, York; and then on 15 February we will welcome Most Rev. fr. Malcolm McMahon OP, Archbishop of Liverpool and Metropolitan of our Northern Province.
