Bishop Dunn Memorial Lecture
|
The annual Bishop Dunn Memorial Lecture, hosted by the Centre for Catholic Studies, will take place at 6:00pm-7:15pm on Wednesday 4 March 2015 at Ushaw College. The speaker is HM Ambassador to the Holy See, Nigel Baker, who will talk on “The Challenge of Pope Francis: a diplomatic perspective.” The lecture will be preceded at 5.00pm with a Mass of Thanksgiving for the Centre for Catholic Studies in St Cuthbert’s Chapel, at which the Chaplaincy Choral Scholars will sing. Tickets for the lecture are normally £3, but the Chaplaincy has arranged for students to be able to reserve a FREE ticket by applying to Theresa Phillips (ccs.admin@durham.ac.uk). Free transport is also available (on production of a Campus Card) on the U1 bus (see www.dur.ac.uk/greenspace/travel/public/bus/ushawcollege for details). There will be no evening Mass at St Cuthbert’s or CathSoc Night that day, to allow for full participation by Catholic students at this major event. |
