Thanksgiving Mass and Bishop Dunn Memorial Lecture

This coming Wednesday, 4 March, there will be no evening Mass or CathSoc night at St Cuthbert’s , in order to enable as many students as possible to attend events at Ushaw College.

There will be a Mass of Thanksgiving for the Centre for Catholic Sutdies celebrated by Bishop Séamus in St Cuthbert’s Chapel at Ushaw College at 5.00pm; the Chaplaincy Choral Scholars will sing.

The annual Bishop Dunn Memorial Lecture, will follow at 6:00pm. The speaker is HM Ambassador to the Holy See, Nigel Baker, who will talk on “The Challenge of Pope Francis: a diplomatic perspective.”

If you plan to attend the lecture you need to reserve a ticket by applying to Theresa Phillips (ccs.admin@durham.ac.uk). Tickets are free for students, £3 for other. Free transport to Ushaw is also available (on production of a Campus Card) on the U1 bus (see www.dur.ac.uk/greenspace/travel/public/bus/ushawcollege for details).
