CathSoc Night

CtahSoc night this week:  What are you doing about what’s outside your own door? The Society of St Vincent de Paul – what is the SVP and why God may be calling you to be part of its mission. The Society of St Vincent de Paul was started by a 19 year old university student from the Sorbonne, Paris. Seeing the attacks on the Catholic faith in an ever more secular world, Frederic Ozanam and his friends met this aggression with words. They were not afraid to explain the faith to others, but when challenged by other students to say what they as Catholics, were doing about the poverty in Paris, they realised that words aren’t enough, and they responded to the challenge. Teresa Kehoe will speak about the work of the SVP after 7.00pm Mass this Wednesday.
