Position available: Library Scholar

LibraryThe Catholic Chaplaincy is seeking to appoint a student as “Library Scholar”, to assist the librarian in the day-to-day maintenance of the Chaplaincy’s library. The library, with nearly 1500 volumes, has both general interest and more specialised holdings in Theological subjects, and is well used by students, parishioners and others. The Library Scholar will be responsible for processing book returns and generally keeping the library in good order. He/she may also, under the direction of the Librarian, be able to assist with accessions and planning. This is a voluntary position requiring at most a couple of hours per week during term time; but in recognition of this contribution a modest scholarship to assist with studies is available. If you are interested in this position, please send an e-mail to fr. Ben (b.j.earl@durham.ac.uk) detailing why you would like to contribute in this way together with details of relevant experience and qualifications. Contact fr. Ben if you have any queries.
